Our Ocean City Workforce Development Program is an opportunity for young men 16-19 years old to learn essential life skills, live independently, and work in Ocean City during the summer months.
The program is a summer intensive and immersive experience for young men ages sixteen to nineteen (older youth are eligible if they participated in past). This holistic program supports participants as they build life and leadership skills while gaining meaningful work experience in Ocean City. On an annual basis, during the peak of the tourist season, Ocean City hosts thousands of seasonal employees, most of whom are international students. Meanwhile, young males in Baltimore face a significant shortage of job prospects and opportunities for growth. This program serves young men in Baltimore by connecting them to employers and allowing them to gain valuable experience in the workforce. The OCWDP is a great opportunity for any young man looking to find a summer job, build new job-related knowledge and skills, live independently, and hone life skills.
